DONE AND DUSTED!

Finished the first draft of the grief book yesterday and feeling that sweet relief only a finished first draft can bring. It’s pretty ugly and in need of serious pruning and reshaping but I’ve got the guts of it down and that feels great. The writing workshop went really well. I had a wonderful time sharing all I’ve learned with a bright and enthusiastic group of budding writers. There are some pics at http://www.brisbanewoman.com/brisbanewoman/writingpics1.pdf
Hoping to do more teaching of writing later in the year. So I’ll keep you posted.
I have a house guest staying here in the computer room (he’s out now!) so my internet time is rationed. This may be a very good thing.
Love to all,
Edwina

Pre-menstrual and pre-published

This is not a good combination. Still waiting on my edit and for Sophie to read my mss, watching others leapfrog me. Console myself with the thought that there is some greater purpose at work, but I’m buggered if I know what it could be. Yep, one of those bitter and twisted kind of days.
On the upside I’m looking forward to teaching creative writing on the weekend. There are only a few spots left so hurry if you’d like to spend a fun morning writing and learning a few tricks of the trade.
