SELF DOUBT AND GRAND DELUSIONS

Is it only writers who can swing from thinking everything they’re writing is crap to then having grand daydreams of international best selling success that makes JK Rowling look poor? Luckily I’ve read somewhere that both the doubts and delusions are a neccessary part of the writing life. A wonderfully affirming writers’ meeting this morning with Marion and Erica helped restore equilibrium. Join a writers’ group people, one that supports and critiques – it’s the best way to grow your writing, and stay sane in this business of nerve wracking waiting, lows of rejections and highs of success.

THE END IS NIGH!

Over 2500 words done today. Must be on the downhill run. The end is so close I can smell it. Oh yes! Very much looking forward to returning to the freedom and fun of fiction, not to mention sex scenes. No sex scenes in self-help! (well I suppose it depends what kind of self-help!)
