Over the weekend I read Krissy Kneen’s memoir, Affection. This is the kind of writing I’d love to see more of; brutally honest, uncompromising women’s stories. Krissy is courageous in her exposure of all her private places (pun intended). The book’s explicit sex scenes may not be everyone’s cup of tea but they are part of a greater narrative of growth from repressed country girl to free agent to married woman. Speaking at the launch, Krissy’s publisher from Text had high hopes for best selling success. And rightfully so.  Check it out at your local book store.
