RED WINE, BLUE CHEESE

red-wine-blue-cheeseRecently I won third prize in the Odyssey House short story competition with my short story Red Wine Blue Cheese. YAY!

Never give up on a story. I’d been working on this one and sending it out over and over again since 2005. At last it’s found a good home and you can read it – HERE

It’s set in Singapore and loosely based on the time I spent there in the mid-nineties, just before I escaped to the chaotic freedom and wildness of Cambodia. Let me know what you think. Hope you like it 🙂

What grief has taught me

Grief has been a shaping force in my life. But amid all the sorrow, it has also brought me a deep appreciation of all the good life brings, a compassionate heart, and, I hope a little wisdom.

In The Gifts of Grief, my latest article on Uplift, I share what I’ve learnt.

What has life taught you? I’d love to know.
